75-cent raise coming for care workers in IL

A 75-cent-per-hour raise is coming for those who care for developmentally disabled in Illinois. The state says they hope the raise will help group homes staff and retain staff and should begin within the next 60 days. A 48-cent-per-our raise is on hold for personal assistants for those who look after physically disabled in their homes. The SEIU Healthcare is filing a lawsuit against the state to force those payments sooner.
