St. Louis high school employee facing sex assault charges

A St. Louis Public School District employee is facing charges related to sexual crimes regarding a minor. Michael West is a suspension monitor at Vashon High School in St. Louis. He allegedly approached a 15-year-old male student asking him if he wanted a way to make money. West asked for an explicit photo of the boy and said he’d used to help him find a job and said he’d take some of the money as payment for helping the boy. West is facing charges of promoting child pornography and sexual trafficking. He is still employed at the school until the board makes a final hiring decision.
