13 million pounds of illegal waste allegedly dumped in MO

Federal and state documents claim 13 million pounds of hazardous waste has been illegally stored in eastern Missouri for four years. An indictment in against Missouri-based Missouri Green Materials and Ohio-based U.S. Technology Corporation claims nine million pounds of waste was originally dumped in Mississippi before being dug up and transported to Missouri. The waste comes from the removal of paint from military machinery. The waste was stored in a Franklin County warehouse listed as being part of a floodplain.
