Senator Clair McCaskill and other democratic Missouri lawmakers are calling for the resignation of Osceola representative Warren Love after comments he made on his social media account. Love said in a post he hoped the person who defaced a Confederate memorial in eastern Missouri quote “hung from a tree with a long rope.” Love says he didn’t mean what he said, but was disturbed that someone would vandalize an object of remembrance. Love says he will not resign.
