Opiod disposal program announced in Kentucky

Kentucky is implementing an opioid disposal program. The program will provide drug deactivation pouches to residents and organizations disposing of prescription medications. The pouch used water to destroy up to 45 pills in a safe and environmentally conscious way. The program will have a test run in McCracken, Floyd, Henderson and Perry counties. Kentucky Attorney General Andy Behsear says the program has the potential to destroy 2.2 million opioids.
