NAACP moving forward with MO travel advisory

NAACP is issuing moving forward with a travel advisory for the state of Missouri. The advisory warns people that while in Missouri, their civil rights might be violated citing legislation passed in June that makes it harder to sue for housing and employment discrimination. It also cites an attorney general’s report claiming black drivers are 75 percent more likely to be stopped than white drivers. NAACP voted to adopt the advisory on Wednesday and will vote to be ratified by the national board in October.
