First case of West Nile confirmed in IL

Illinois has its first confirmed case of West Nile Virus.  A man in Will County was diagnosed with West Nile last week. West Nile has symptoms similar to the flu and can result in death. The disease is spread by mosquitoes. Last year the state had 150 cases including 5 deaths. Last week a batch of tested mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile Virus in Southern Illinois.
