Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he will veto a school funding bill as soon as it arrives. The bill would leave public education funding up to an “evidence-based” formula that Rauner says unfairly benefits Chicago schools. The state passed its first budget in two year earlier this month and allowed $350 million for schools. That money cannot be allocated without the passing of the bill.
