Body recovered from Mississippi/Ohio River confluence

A body was recovered from the confluence of Ohio and Mississippi Rivers Monday. The body of an adult male was reported by a fisherman and was recovered by the U.S. Coast Guard, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Illinois State Police, and Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department. The body has yet to be identified but Mississippi County coroner said several tattoos should help identify him. The body of 13-year-old Paul Johnson who drowned in the Mississippi River on July 9 has yet to be recovered.
