Hutcheson dismissed of assault charges

Former Mississippi County sheriff Cory Hutcheson has avoided assault charges. A judge dismissed allegations that Hutcheson assaulted the owner of a beauty shop by handcuffing her until her wrist bled. Hutcheson is still facing charges of first-degree robbery and will stand trial for those allegations. Hutcheson is accused of “pinging” the cell phones of a judge and several officers. Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley filed the allegations against Hutcheson in April.
