SEMO approves $116.5 million operating budget

Southeast Missouri State University’s Board of Regents has approved a $116.5 million operating budget and $37.42 million auxiliary budget for Fiscal year 2018.

The Board of Regents met Monday to discuss and approve the budget, which includes a 2.8 percent increase in tuition and assessment of fees.  The tuition increase was proposed after Missouri Governor Eric Greitens proposed an 8.5 percent reduction in state appropriations to the school in January resulting an overall $4.07 million decrease in revenue.
