Missouri lawmakers working to strengthen abortion regulations

Missouri lawmakers are expected to vote this week to toughen the state’s abortion regulations. Latest version of the House’s regulations would give the attorney general the right to prosecute abortion regulation violators without notifying local prosecutors. New regulations will require health clinics that perform abortions to undergo yearly inspections. The new regulations will also void a St. Louis ordinance banning discrimination in housing and employment based on reproductive health decisions.
