Kentucky governor being sued again

Kentucky’s governor may be sued by the state’s attorney general again. Last week, Governor Matt Bevin signed an executive order that dissolved and reorganized a number of state school boards, a move Attorney General Andy Beshear says is unconstitutional because the governo doesn’t have authority over state boards. The attorney general already sued Bevin for eliminating and replacing state boards that oversee the University of Louisville and the Kentucky Retirement Systems. The attorney general has already won a lawsuit challenging the governor’s budget cuts to colleges and universities.
