Former Mississippi County sheriff Cory Hutcheson has been relieved of his duties following a disposition. Attorney General Josh Hawley asked that Hutcheson be stripped of his position pending an investigation into 18 felony charges. Hawley asked that Hutcheson be relieved of his duties following the death Tory Sanders who died in the Mississippi County jail earlier this month. Hutcheson appealed the case but the court denied his appeal. The judge said his decision is not final and is scheduling a second hearing.
