Mizzou appointed new chancellor

University of Missouri-Columbia is getting a new chancellor. Dr. Alexander Cartwright, the current provost and executive vice chancellor of State University of New York System, will take over as Chancellor of Mizzou later in the summer. The university has seen an incoming enrollment decrease of almost one-third since 2015. Former Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin and University of Missouri System President Timothy Wolfe resigned in 2015 after students protests issues related to race, workplace rights and leadership rattled the Columbia campus. Garnett Stokes is currently serving as interim chancellor.
