Illinois announcing housing grant recipients

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity announced the recipients of Community Development Block Grants for Housing Tuesday. The 19 projects aimed at improving housing in low to moderate income opportunities across the state of Illinois will total up $7.93 million. Anna and Jonesboro are two of the recipients receiving a combined total of almost $832,000. Marion will receive $361,530 and Mt. Vernon will receive $450,000. The funds are administered by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and DCEO.
