The suspects in the case of the burned body of a Carbondale woman last summer are facing more delays in trial proceedings. In August the body of Robin Steif was found burned in the woods in Carbondale, Illinois after being beaten with a hammer, strangled and suffocated. Robert Dennis, one of the key suspects in the case, was originally scheduled to appear in court in June, but a judge has granted him a case management conference postponing the trial. Another suspect Lauren Stinde plead guilty in November and was scheduled to undergo her sentence hearing in February, but that trial has been continued until August. Teisha Anderson also had her trial suspended from January to July.
