Illinois Deer Harvest Numbers Lower Than Last Year

Deer hunters statewide across Illinois harvested 50,173 during this year’s opening weekend of Fall Firearms season. The total number of deer harvested is lower than last year’s opening weekend. The total number of deer harvested this year is nearly 8,000 less than the total number of deer harvested last year at this time. Randolph County had the most deer harvested this weekend with a total of 1,553. Every single county with the exception of Pulaski had a lower number of deer harvested than in 2018
