The city of Popular Bluff has come to a settlement on three different lawsuits that involved street department employees who claim discrimination and harassment happened under the leadership of the former city super intendment. The three cases involved two females and a male. The female victims claim that both age and gender was a target of harassment. An African American man claimed he was demoted because of race. City officials released a statement on Friday saying, all cases had been resolved. The city’s insurance company, Missouri Rural Services, will pay a total of $155,000 to the three individuals. The city will pay a $10,000 deductible. Officials say No current or past employees have been disciplined as a result of the allegations.
